“Take Time,” and have a great start to 2018

I want to wish everyone a very happy 2018! I am starting it slowly and calmly, and taking time to be with loved ones and gear up for the year.  I wrote this song years ago on a snowy New Year’s day in Moscow, and it generally captures my sentiment on this first day of the year. It definitely does today! I hope you like it, and hope your year gets off to a super start, and only gets better!

Why I March Today – January 21st, 2017

I march because I value the respect and dignity all people deserve, no matter their gender, their race, or their sexual preference. I march because this very respect and dignity cannot be taken for granted, something we are increasingly reminded of as we begin 2017. I march because the fabric of our societies is much more fragile than we may have realised, and complacency can lead to dire consequences. And I march because I am the father of three incredible daughters who want and deserve to live in a world that defends and holds as precious the respect and dignity for women and for all people. #whyImarch #GenevaWomensMarchForDignity #WomensMarchonWashington

Today (in America)

Today,
love can trump hate,
wisdom can trump ignorance,
tolerance can trump bigotry,
inclusiveness can trump division,
hope can trump fear,
and on and on.

Today,
Americans can proudly affirm these truths which to so many of us are self evident.

And today,
as the world watches,
history judges,
and future generations depend on our actions and resolve, we can all exercise our constitutional right and make it so.
